Eldon's First Days
I will get the hang of this blogging thing. :) It was difficult to upload pictures before, but we got a new computer and this should go MUCH faster!
First off - Eldon is here! I am going to put up a few pictures of his first few days of life. I will come back and update the blog with more soon. I promise!

Here I am at 40 weeks on my due date (October 17th). This was the day I went into the hospital. Eldon was not born until the next day. I was pretty excited to be going to the hospital! Lets get this baby here!
After about 12 hrs if labor we got to finally meet him!
Eldon Walker Fain: born on October 18th at 3:06 pm. He weighed 10 pounds and 3 ounces. He was 22.75 inches long.
The proud and happy daddy!
Justin's Dad (Thurman Walker Fain)
He was so alert right from the start!
About to get his first bath.
Meeting Grandma Fain for the first time. Eldon's first name is after her dad, John Eldon Rasey.
Aunt Hannah. Hannah got him his first Duke hat!
Great Grandma Rasey. Grandpa Rasey was not here yet. He decided it was wise to not stay up all night. Smart guy!
Eldon is a week old in this picture.
Uncle Benjamin and Grandpa and Grandma Stertz came to visit for a few days. We LOVED it!
Both sets of Grandparents all together!

Better Late than Never!
Here are a few pictures of my growing belly. I am 37 weeks now, but I realized I never posted these. Its time to take more pictures too! Maybe I won't get so far behind this time!
31 Weeks (at my baby shower)
32 Weeks!
35 Weeks Silhouette. The Baby was measuring about 7 Lbs at this point which is a pound and a half larger than normal. I guess I am not too surprised. Have you seen Justin or myself lately? We are pretty tall people!

Beginning stages of Baby Nursery
I have some detail painting to do on this wall.
I had to alter the brown panels on this window. The crib was given to me as well as the shelf in the corner. I have had the shelf for a while, but it looks great in here. The bins came from the Christmas Tree Shops. They were a great deal!
The chest was also given to me - its full of cloths that were given to me and there are more that didn't fit! God is good! I have a lot of detail painting to do on this wall.
I made the valences out of a green tablecloth and sewed the leaves and buttons on. So far this room has been pretty inexpensive! I had a gift card to Target that I used for the brown panels and tablecloth.

My Garden
I have been wanting to plant a small garden for years, but I have never had a backyard to be able to do it. Now that we do have a backyard I took the plunge! It has been very profitable too. I have squash, zucchini, green peppers, cucumber and tomatoes.
I have already harvested a lot of zucchini, squash and cucumber. Mmmm. The green peppers are just beginning to bloom and the tomatoes are mostly green still. I did have one tomato about ready to pick so I gave it one more day. I went out to get the first red tomato and it was gone! We have a lot of deer and rabbits around and I guess they were waiting for the perfect timing too!
Here are a few pictures as proof!

Its a pretty small garden, but is more than enough for us. We have been able to give vegetables away too.
Couldn't wait to taste the first harvest! (FYI - Zucchini tastes better cooked.)

Free Stuff!
A friend of mine (Sydney) that goes to church with me found me all kinds of free baby stuff. She babysat for this couple that is moving to CA and they were getting rid of all kinds of things. Thankfully Sydney threw out my name when the lady asked if she knew anyone who needed a crib. She gave me the crib and then offered me all kinds of other things! What a blessing! The best part is all the furniture is white - the exact color I wanted! Here are some photos of everything. Its a mess, but I have already organized it all and put together some of the stuff for the baby's room.
There was a play mat, car seat bundler, bedding and tons of clothes!
Hamper, boppy pillow with cover, exersaucer, and toddler car.
Crib and changing table. (The table is missing a lot of parts.)
Chest of drawers. I don't really have room for a changing table and this chest will double as a changing table. My in-laws may take it and try to fix it.
Toy chest. There is also a rocker in the back. I got it at Goodwill and painted it white. It needs to be recovered still.
Picture of my living room packed with all the stuff! It was a blessing!
The last two are of me... getting a lot bigger! These pictures were at 26 almost 27 weeks.
